MIDDLE GATE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
Melissa has been at Middle Gate for 10 years and before that was a Counselor at an alternative high school in Danbury. She also spent a few years working alongside the Department of Children and Families. She is a member of the Connecticut School Counselor Associate (CSCA) and is a National Certified Counselor (NCC). She holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master's of Science in Counselor Education: School Counseling. Melissa is also a certified Yoga Instructor and mindfulness coach. She lives with her husband and two children, Camryn (11) and Austin (8). She has two dogs, and nine chickens! In her free time, she loves camping, baking, hiking, and playing board games with her family.
SANDY HOOK ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
Laurie started at Sandy Hook in the winter of 2014. Before that, she was a school counselor in Salem, CT for three years. Prior to Sandy Hook, Laurie worked in the field of education for nine years. Laurie graduated with honors and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Writing from Sacred Heart University. She holds a Masters of Arts in School Counseling from Saint Joseph College. Laurie has been a member of the Connecticut School Counselor Association and the American School Counselor Association. She lives with her husband and two sons, Logan (8) and Brody (4). They have one cat, Callie. Laurie loves to spend time with her family and friends. She enjoys riding her bike and reading. She can’t wait for the next road trip adventure with her family!

HEAD O'MEADOW ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
Lisa spent nine years working in the field of education for Weston Public Schools then joined the Head O'Meadow Community in 2015. She is the Co-Chairman of the Connecticut School Counselor Association. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies with a minor in Psychology from the University of Connecticut. Her Master's of Science is in Counselor Education: School Counseling from Western Connecticut State University. Lisa grew up in the town next door, Bethel, CT. She lives with her husband who also grew up in Bethel! Lisa loves anything Disney and doing the recumbent bike almost every day. Lisa recently became a Certified Yoga Teacher. She also loves trying out local restaurants and seeing Broadway shows. She cherishes her time with family and friends.

HAWLEY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
It is Casey’s fifth year as a school counselor at Hawley. Prior to that, she worked as a school counselor for North Haven Public Elementary Schools. Casey has also worked as a clinical mental health counselor specializing in trauma work at the Center for Family Justice in Bridgeport and taught at The Westport-Weston Cooperative Nursery School. Casey is a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). Casey is the Elementary School Liaison for the Connecticut School Counselor Association (CSCA). She received her Bachelors of Arts in Developmental Psychology from The College of New Jersey and Masters of Arts in School Counseling from Fairfield University. Casey is an adjunct professor at Fairfield University. She teaches a masters level course called Counseling Relationships and Skills. She loves spending time with friends and family, doing arts & crafts, shopping, decorating her home, and exercising. A fun fact about Casey is that she has been a vegetarian for over 20 years!
