Welcome to the Newton Acceptance Group of Alcoholics Anonymous. We meet each Monday evening at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, 258 Concord Road, Newton, MA.
6:15 - 7:15 p.m. - Beginners Meeting - This meeting is for people who have a desire to stop drinking but especially for those new to AA who want to learn about “how it works.”
7:30 - 8:30 p.m. - - Open Speaker Meeting - Open to alcoholics and nonalcoholics. At speaker meetings, A.A. members “tell their stories.” They describe their experiences with alcohol, how they came to A.A., and how their lives have changed as a result of Alcoholics Anonymous. (Attendance at an open A.A. meeting is the best way to learn what A.A. is, what it does, and what it does not do.)
We often go out on weekly commitments. If you would like to join our group, and/or be notified when those commitments are happening, email newtonacceptance@gmail.com to add your name to our email group (everyone is bcc'ed so anonymity is retained. )
