Connecting Wendolig.
Connecting Wendolig.
WendoLink is an alternative to Metro Wendolig which will be composed of 1-2 lines. It will, when Wendolig reaches sufficient or required size, connect the far east of urban Wendolig to the far west of urban and rural Wendolig, serving as a quicker way to reach one side of the town to the other. WendoLink will co-exist with Metro Wendolig, and be heavily integrated as a rapid transit service.
We will order custom Symud rolling stock from PurpleTrain manufacturing that will be built to run bi-mode and consist of more coaches, as well as a more regional specified passenger experience. These will use the same PurbleBody Technology that PurpleTrain uses.
Much of WendoLink's tracks will run alongside Metro Wendolig, and the service will co-exist with Metro Wendolig. It is not a replacement of Metro Wendolig, only an alternative to Metro Wendolig. The service will also trackshare with PurpleTrain and store their rolling stock in the PurpleTraincare Depot.
WendoLink will be controlled and operated by MW Group during the construction phase, even when the service is partially open. When the service is fully open, ownership will likely either stay with Transport for Wendolig Rail, be transferred to PurpleTrain, or be auctioned off.
