Travel Information

Please note that accommodations at the Hotel Belalp will only be provided to participants from Sunday, September 3rd - Friday, September 8th.  Those wishing to stay longer should make arrangements directly with the hotel.   Those staying less than the full range should contact the organizers prior to August 3rd.

For international visitors fly either to Geneva or to Zurich international airport.  From the airport, one should take the train to Brig station.  For the schedule, please consult SBB. ww.sbb.ch/en

It is recommended that you download sbb app, then you will be able to buy tickets online and access the whole public transportation net in CH.

You can reach Brig quickly and conveniently rail from all major Swiss cities.   From Brig there is a Bus 624, which usually leaves within 10 min after the train arrival (trains are usually in time and 97% all connections work in Switzerland!). After 20 min journey you will arrive to Blatten b. Naters and take the cable car there to Belalp.  From Blatten, it is essential that you take the large gondola lift up to the Belalp mountain station. Once you arrive there, any luggage that you are unable to carry yourself can be deposited in our locker, labelled "Hotel Belalp". The lift employees will be happy to assist you. Please register your luggage with the lift employees during the ride. Your luggage will then be collected by our staff at a later time and transported back to the hotel along with the luggage of other guests. The same applies for your departure.

Please note that for safety reasons, our last luggage transport service is at 6 pm in winter. If you arrive later than this, please only bring your hand luggage for your first night. Your main luggage will then be collected and brought to the hotel the next morning.

From Belalp mountain station, one can walk to the hotel.   It is 25 min walk with panoramic view on the alps.  For more information see the links below.
