Music Gala
The Kindergarteners of BCLR joined hands once more to present an impressive Music Gala on 21st Oct 2021 to bring smiles on every face. The gala featured little performers from all levels of Early Years. They presented a theme based performance on beautiful rhythms of music. Parents and students enjoyed a wonderful display of music and movements depicting students muscular coordination , agility and flexibility. The collective efforts of teachers made the Music Gala a great success. Rounds of enthusiastic applause rang loud for every little performer. The audience left feeling love and gratitude for our school.
"Fiction Addiction" -- Reading Week
"The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go." The “Reading Week” was held in Kindergarten in which our young learners got the opportunity to participate in various activities and the main objective behind celebrating was to mark the importance of reading in one's life and inculcate the reading habit in students.Different activities were conducted during the weeklong celebrations:
* Reading with buddy:The students brought their stuff toys and enjoyed reading their favourite book along with them.
* Favourite Story Book:The kindergarteners brought storybook to their classroom that they liked to read in their leisure time and spoke for a minute stating their favourite character and what they liked most about the book. It was aimed at inculcating a love for reading for pleasure in the students from a young age.The activity was conducted under the supervision of the respective class teachers.
* DEAR (drop-down everything and read):Another fun-loving and exciting activity was the students were supposed to drop down everything and read whatever they like.
* Story telling sessions:Students of Early years enjoyed different story telling sessions with their mothers and teachers.
* Dress up like your favourite character of the story:All students were dressed up like their favourite character and they had a character parade.
The enthusiasm and fervour among young kids could be witnessed through their active participation throughout this week of celebrations. The students were able to learn the importance of reading and its application in daily life. They had gathered a lot of insights from their fellow mates and observed this week with a great amount of zeal and new learnings.
Kindness Week
As Susan Brown said, ’Kindness is free. Sprinkle it everywhere.’
Students of Kindergarten branch celebrated the kindness week with full zeal and zest. Monday,13th December was ‘Smile Day’, the students smiled and made everyone’s day by colouring smileys. The students handed someone a helping hand to someone on Tuesday, 14th December. Wednesday,15th December was a courteous day. Students choose their favourite courtesy word, wrote it on a tag and pasted on the courtesy tree.Thursday, 16th December was Thankful Thursday. On this day students made cards for being Thankful to Allah and to their parents. Friday, 17th December was the culmination day for Kindness week. Differently abled students were invited to school for different activities. It was the best activity of the week to inculcate kindness and empathy in the students for differently abled students.
Colours Week
Young kindergarteners were introduced to different colours by celebrating“colors week” To create a fun filled environment, all classes were decorated in different colours everyday. Students were made to recognise primary colours through different games and play-way activities. They were asked to bring the specific colour object each day. The children were excited and felt happy seeing so many colourful hangings, cutouts, balloons everyday and enjoyed to the fullest.
Hafta-e-Urdu
BCLR campus celebrated the ‘Urdu Week’ in November, 2021. The week long celebrations consisted of Urdu poetry recitals, mini Mushaira was conducted, word booklets were made by the students. Special assembly was conducted on Hafta-e-Urdu about different poets, especially focusing on the life and works of the renowned Urdu poet and philosopher Allama Iqbal. To culminate Hafta-e-Urdu, the students were dressed up as different Urdu poets, singers and philosophers. The students participated enthusiastically and enjoyed the celebrations. Participants were awarded certificates to acknowledge their effort in making ‘Urdu Week’ a success.
Story Telling Festival
Winning a game/competition or being the best in the class gives children a good feeling about themselves and makes them proud. It shows them that they are good at something which builds their self-confidence. Little kindergartners made us proud by winning the "Story Telling" competition. Il
