Chatter Matters
IT’S GOOD TO TALK!
“Would you rather” questions are a fun and engaging way to encourage critical thinking and imagination. This week’s questions for discussion are . . .
Would you rather listen to a story about animals or about space?
Would you rather listen to bees buzzing or crows cawing?
Would you rather complete a science experiment or a craft activity?
Calling all Whetstone Waitrose shoppers!
We are lucky to be in the Waitrose Community Matters Green Tokens scheme from 8th April until the end of June. Please encourage your family, friends, and neighbours to shop in the Whetstone Waitrose and put your green tokens in the Church Hill School Association box. We are very grateful for your support.
Best wishes from the CHSA
Smart Watches
For safeguarding reasons, we would like to remind all parents and carers that children are not permitted to wear smart watches of any kind in school. Devices with communication, recording, or internet capabilities present potential risks to pupils’ safety and privacy. If a child arrives at school wearing a smart watch, they will be asked to remove it, and it will be securely stored by staff for the duration of the school day. The watch will then be returned to parents or carers at the end of the day.
We appreciate your support in helping us maintain a safe and secure environment for all pupils.
The Big School Workout
We’re excited to share that Church Hill Primary School will be taking part in The Big School Workout with Joe Wicks as part of Mental Health Awareness Week.
On Thursday 14 May from 2:15–2:45pm, children in KS1 and KS2 will join schools across the country for a fun, high-energy live workout. This special session encourages pupils to get active while learning how movement can boost mood, build resilience, and support overall mental wellbeing—especially after the SATS period.
All children should come into school wearing their PE kits on this day so they are ready to take part comfortably.
All pupils will simply need to come ready to move and enjoy being active together!
