AUDITION INFORMATION

Welcome to the Audition Hub! Here is where you will find everything needed for auditions including sides, vocal audition cuts, and all the general information you will need. Students entering Freshman year through exiting Senior year of high school are eligible to audition. 

In addition to our teenage cast, we have the potential opportunity to cast ONE junior actor (ages 10-13) to play the role of a lower-elementary newsie. To audition for this role, please complete a Junior Newsie audition form and record a video stating your name and age in addition to a 30 second acapella song preferably from a musical theatre repertoire. Video submissions must be sent to Mia Kadwell by 5pm on Wednesday, April 17th via email or text (contact information is listed on the home page of the hub and in the audition form). Please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions you may have!

Below are a few documents to help you prepare for auditions. The character sheet has a complete list of the characters in Newsies to help you decide which part you would like to audition for. As stated in the form, auditioning for a character does not guarantee you will be cast in this role, you may be cast in a role you did not audition for, AND you may be cast as more than one role. In addition to the character sheet, there is a audition prep sheet attached to help you understand what all an audition entails as well as give you the materials we ask you prepare for your audition.
