I have been offering Math tutoring services for over 7 years. I am currently teaching in the Sachem School District. I graduated from St. Joseph’s College with a dual Bachelor’s of Science degree in Adolescent Education with a degree in Mathematics, and Computer Science, as well as a Master's degree in Mathematics Education. I am a certified teacher in New York and have taught Common Core Geometry and Intro to Computer Science, been an Academic Intervention tutor, as well as a Math AIS teacher in Smithtown.

Tutoring All Math Subjects Including:

New York State Common Core - Trigonometry
Pre-Algebra - Pre-Calculus
Algebra I - Calculus
Geometry - Probability and Statistics
Algebra II

How I Tutor:

My approach to tutoring is always conducted in a positive, upbeat manner. I am able to tailor the student's session to meet his or her individual needs. I am able to pre-teach an upcoming lesson, reteach a lesson or topic the student is having difficulties with, as well as review for tests and prepare for midterms and final exams. I am also available through e-mail or text between sessions should questions come up, or if a student feels frustrated. This allows for a continuous, positive flow to allow the student to achieve success.

Tutoring Rate:

Tutoring rate is $60.00 per hour.

Followup questions outside of tutoring session are included.

I am available weekdays after 3:00 or weekends after 12:00 noon to fit into your schedule.

My Philosophy:

My philosophy regarding education is that the student always comes first. It is my firm belief that a student learns best in an environment where they feel comfortable. By providing such an environment for my students, they will reach a confidence level where they are free to ask any questions they have in order to be successful.

A Little About Me:

I am currently employed at the Sachem Central School District at the middle school. In the past I have taught Common Core Geometry and Computer Science at the high school level, as well as been a math AIS teacher for seventh and eight grade.

When I am not working, I enjoy traveling and other outdoor activities including many sports. I also spend time working out, gaming, learning programming languages, and playing saxophone and piano.
