Edison City

The township of Edison is situated in Middlesex County, New Jersey. It is one of the commercial hubs of the Raritan Valley region. Besides being a major business and commercial center, it is also home to Little India and the Menlo Park Mall. Moreover, it is a part of the New York metropolitan area.

Thomas Alva Edison Memorial Tower in Edison, New Jersey, was constructed in honor of the life and legacy of Thomas Edison. This 118-foot tall building incorporates his inventions, including the first light bulb. Located on the site of the laboratory where he worked on his first incandescent light bulb, the tower is one of the most prominent landmarks in New Jersey.

Thomas Edison was not only one of the greats, he was also a prolific inventor. The Thomas Edison State Park in Menlo Park, New Jersey is home to the lab that hatched the incandescent light bulb.

Cypress Brewing Co.

Cypress brewing company is a small local brewer in central New Jersey. Its flagship location is located on Nixon Lane in Edison. The brewery offers a great selection of craft beers, some of which are made with locally sourced ingredients. They have a tasting room stocked with a couple of high tops, a few tables, and a bar. In addition, they also offer delivery and takeout.

Cypress is no stranger to the beer game, as evidenced by their collaborations with Icarus Brewing in Lakewood, NJ, and Bolero Snort in Carlstadt, NJ. The brewery has been making its mark on the local brewing scene since its inception and has been named among the state's most promising new breweries.

The Rutgers Ecological Preserve is a 316-acre woodland area outside of Edison, New Jersey. It was conceived as a means to protect the natural ecological qualities of the property, as well as serve as an educational resource for the university and its surrounding community.

For those of you looking to savor the outdoors during the winter months, the Rutgers Go Outdoors program offers snowshoeing through the Preserve. You can also enjoy a guided tour of the museum which has more than 120 items.

The median sales price of Edison homes in the 12 months that ended May 31 was $450,000. This is a tad lower than the previous year's figure of $470,000, mainly due to the recent rise in mortgage rates. However, the number of homes sold in the town remained largely unchanged, with the same numbers of sales as last year.

One of the largest and most populous towns in New Jersey, Edison is an affluent suburb of New York City. It is located 35 miles southwest of Midtown Manhattan.
