New Jersey (NJ) OPTOMETRIST Practice Course

About the Service:

New Jersey (NJ) OPTOMETRIST Practice Course

You have taken the first step to becoming a New Jersey Optometrist!

In order to be licensed as an optometrist in New Jersey, you must have completed an accredited, 4-year bachelor's degree program in optometry and then passed the National Optometry Board Exam (NOBE). Once you have passed the exam, you will be eligible to apply for licensure by endorsement. If you do not currently hold a license in any state, you can apply directly as an applicant from out of state.

You will need to submit proof of your academic credentials (diploma or transcripts) and official copies of your passing scores on both parts of the national board exam - Parts A & B. You will also be required to submit fingerprints for a background check by the New Jersey Board of Examiners for Optometrists (BEO). If the results of this check are satisfactory, then you may continue with the process of obtaining your license by endorsement in NJ.
