We Believe

• God created the heavens and the earth. 

• Jesus Christ, the son of God, left His glorified state and came to the earth (see 5-8), was born of a virgin (see 26-35), and lived a sinless life. 

• Jesus died on the cross, was buried in the tomb, and rose again on the third day. 

• Jesus ascended into heaven and is now at the right hand of God the Father. 

• God promises us eternal life through His son Jesus Christ because of His great love for us. 

• Jesus is the only way to be freed from the power of sin and death. 

• God has a plan for our lives which we will understand as we seek him with all of our hearts through prayer, reading His word, the bible, and connecting with other believers. 

• The Holy Spirit, the third person in the holy trinity, is our advocate, comforter, counselor, and intercessor. He lives in our heart (vs.15-20) and is our guarantee (vs. 13-14) that we are God's children and Jesus is coming back for us. 

• Water baptism is a public declaration that the believer has accepted Jesus Christ as Lord of their life. Although it will not save a person, it is a biblical mandate. The believer is fully immersed in water just as Jesus was during his tenure on earth. This act symbolizes the death of our sinful nature in rebellion to God and our new life in him by the power of the Holy Spirit (vs. 8-15).
