Your first visit is a consultation and exam. The doctors will review with you the information you entered into our online intake form, and indicated on our assessment surveys, to determine the reason for your visit, and then will conduct an examination to help determine the cause(s) of your presenting problem(s). During this visit it will be determined which, if any, x-rays will be required prior to starting chiropractic care. If no x-rays are required, you may receive your first adjustment on this visit. If it is determined that x-rays are required, we will schedule an appointment for you at our partner facility, if possible on the same day.
Our partner facility for x-rays is located in Hiram. They typically see our patients Mon, Wed, & Fri 8-11 & 3-6:30. Once your exam has been completed, if x-rays are needed we will set up an appointment for you. They will give you a disc which you bring back to us, at which time you will have your Report of Findings and 1st adjustment.
The answer is: it depends. If you have inflamed tissues or joints, if you are already in pain, if you have been in pain for some time... then it is possible that it may be uncomfortable at first. Pain is not a normal state of our bodies - it is a signal that something isn't right. We all have occasional aches and pains, but if we have unhealthy muscle and/or joint biomechanics that can set up a longer term problem that won't just go away if ignored. Our goals are to restore and maintain normal physiologic muscle and joint motion, to the best of your body's ability to heal and thrive.
We understand that many patients have insurance that they would like to use to pay for their chiropractic care. Most of these plans have considerable deductibles in addition to co-payments. We can, in most cases, offer care at a similar rate as what your copay would be while eliminating the need to pay a deductible. We do this by remaining outside insurance networks, which allows us to offer the care you need without any visit restrictions or care limitations. The result is that you get the care you need at a price you can afford.
We made the decision to be a self-pay practice because that puts you and your care team in control of your healthcare.
In most cases, HSA/FSA cards may be used for chiropractic care.
That depends on multiple factors and most importantly your goals for care.

We get it. That's what one of our first patients at this location said, but our exam revealed the need to have x-rays prior to adjusting. When we showed him what we saw on his x-ray, he was very grateful for our thorough process without which the outcome could have been very different.
"To see is to know; not to see is to guess. We refuse to guess about your health."
Yes, we know there's a New Hope community on the other end of Dallas, Georgia. And we're not there. We know that we're in New Georgia community. We've heard the smart-alec remarks. "That's confusing"... "Y'all know you're in New Georgia, right?" It has offered the opportunity to share where we're coming from and connect with people in the community in a candid conversation.
Funny story. Well, we think so... We chose the name New Hope Chiropractic long before we knew where we would end up. Our vision was (and is) to bring New Hope ... for wellness, health, and relief from pain ... to the people we serve.
We are open Mon-Fri 11-6. Wed 11-4. We don't close for lunch. We often stay later or come in earlier to accommodate patient needs. Dr Terry takes massage appointments at 10:00 Monday-Friday. Sometimes we are there on Saturdays and can notify those patients who have asked us to let them know about those days.
Massage therapy with Meagan is available Mondays 2-6 and Tuesdays & Thursdays 1-6.
