We volunteered at the Billa Mahmud Memorial Future Leaders School in Accra, Ghana this summer. In Ghana, many children need to support their families by working, and school equipment can be expensive, making education unattainable for many. Billa Mahmud is special in that it provides free education, books, uniforms, transportation to and from school, and two meals every day. This brings great opportunities to children in daycare up to 12th grade. However, it also means that the school relies on a lot of volunteer support, and they need your help.
This year, we successfully raised over $1,600 to get a student named Jayden, who has cerebral palsy, a walker that he needed. Now, we have a much bigger goal: we are trying to raise $25,000 to get the school the 36 computers that they need. Access to this technology will allow Billa Mahmud students to learn valuable skills that will help them reach the jobs and futures that they deserve.
Please donate or share this page! You could make a real difference in these students' lives.
Thank you so much,
