IT Essentials & Cyber Security Awareness

August 18 (10:00 - 11:15 a.m.)

This session starts off by introducing you to the resources and services available at the university, in support of all your information technology needs through IT Services. Learn about whom to contact when you need tech support, the standard tools used for campus communication, document management, and more. For the second half of this session, you will learn about the measures BU takes to protect the campus community from cyber-attacks, and the proactive steps we can take to keep ourselves and others safe online.

Campus Safety & Facilities Operations

August 23 (10:00 - 11:00 a.m.)

At Brandon University, we all have a shared responsibility for keeping our campus and community healthy and safe. In the first half of this session, you will learn about about general campus safety resources and security features.

The second half will highlight key services, processes and resources for the day-to-day operational functioning of the campus and facilities including sustainability initiatives, the work request process, onsite event planning support, and much more.

Accessible Service, Employment & Education

August 25 (10:00 - 11:15 a.m.)

Recognizing the diversity of its students, employees and visitors, Brandon University is committed to providing an accessible working and learning environment. Each member of the campus community - faculty, staff, and students - shares the responsibility of creating an equitable and inclusive campus in the identification of barriers, and in the accommodation process. In this session, we will highlight those shared responsibilities from both the perspective of employment and education.

Respectful Relationships in the Workplace

August 30 (1:00 - 2:00 p.m.)

Creating a respectful workplace is everyone's responsibility. This session will raise awareness around what respectful behaviour looks like, promote the adoption of a professional attitude, assist with the development of effective communication skills, and suggest common standards for respectful behaviour.
