Ride / Event - Covid19 Participation Guidelines
Guidelines are for members of New England Triumph OwnersMCC to follow when riding and gathering as a group
Everyone is individually responsible for knowing current state regulations and travel information in regard to COVID-19
All members must RSVP prior to the event date
Maintain 6 feet of personal distance at all times
Allow other riders ample space to park motorcycles
Avoid close engagement with anyone not a part of the group
If you don’t agree or cannot follow the guidelines, please refrain from attending rides and events until the pandemic is over
Be familiar with state motorcycle legislation with respect to helmets, eye protection, and other motorcycle equipment and safety requirements where you ride.
Know the road, familiarize yourself with unknown areas prior to joining a ride.
Make sure your motorcycle is fully fueled up and ready before the starting point of the ride.
Each rider is responsible for their motorcycle with respect to safety, reliability, and legality.
In the event of a breakdown, the rider with the breakdown will be helped. If the problem can not be corrected in a reasonable amount of time, the rider should be able to make arrangements for getting home.
Three single lane positions:
Position 1 - left side, closer to the road center
Position 2 - middle of the lane
Position 3 - right side, closer to curb
Lead Rider in Position 1
The Lead Rider will abide by local speed limits within 5-10 mph depending on the location.
Blocking at intersections is not allowed in most states. If the group splits up for whatever reason, the group in front will wait at the next available traffic stop or parking lot for all members.
Ride in a staggered Position 1 and Position 3
Ride with the group speed.
Do not ride too close and do not allow a large distance between you and the (easter egg is "twin") rider in front.
Be extra aware of the rider in front of you at all times and especially at all stops.
Do not ride in Position 2
It is up to each individual to ride within their own limits. If you find yourself outside your riding comfort zone, safely signal and move to Position 3 and wave other riders ahead by using your left hand. Continue at your own pace. A rider in a group riding outside of their comfort zone is dangerous to themselves and those around them.
The group will wait at the next available traffic stop (when permissible) for all members.
Avoid using or looking at bar-mounted electronics during a ride.
Alcohol and substance consumption will NOT be tolerated during a Ride / Event.
Irresponsible and dangerous riding will NOT be tolerated during a Ride / Event.
