New York (NY) Land Surveyor Practice Course

The New York State Land Surveyor Certification Examination is a national examination that is offered by the American Board of Registration for Professional Surveyors (ABPS). It is designed to test your knowledge of the technical aspects of land surveying. This certification examination is required for anyone who wishes to practice as a professional land surveyor in New York State. The New York State Department of Education does not offer any courses or courses in preparation for this exam.

ABPS is a member of the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES) and administers examinations throughout the United States. In order to register for this exam, you must be a licensed surveyor in good standing with ABPS and meet all other eligibility requirements set forth by NCEES.

You can take this exam at any testing center within the United States; however, if you choose not to travel outside of New York State, there are two testing centers located within the state: Buffalo, NY and Albany, NY.
