About the Editor

Quan-Hoang Vuong (Ph.D., Université Libre de Bruxelles) is a Distinguished Scientist of Phenikaa University, Hanoi, Vietnam. He is the Founding Chair of the Vietnam Chapter of the European Association of Science Editors. Dr. Vuong served in the NAFOSTED Scientific Council on Basic Research in the Social Sciences and Humanities (2019–2022) and is a Distinguished Associate Member of the Vietnam Institute for Advanced Study in Mathematics (VIASM, 2021-2024).

He has published some 200 academic papers with such publishers as BMC, Brill, Cell Press, De Gruyter, Dove Press, Elsevier, Emerald, Inderscience, MIT Press, Oxford University Press, Palgrave Macmillan, SAGE, Springer, Taylor & Francis, Warwick University Press, Wiley, World Scientific, etc. and particularly Nature Portfolio journals, namely Nature, Nature Human Behaviour, Humanities and Social Sciences Communications, Scientific Data.

Dr. Vuong has also edited and authored 13 books about different issues, such as academic publishing, entrepreneurship, economics, education, psychology, and sustainability. His books are held by numerous libraries in the United States (US), United Kingdom (UK), France, Germany, Netherlands, Sweden, Canada, Norway, Japan, China, Vietnam, etc.

His Vietnamese title Kinh tế Việt Nam: Thăng trầm và đột phá was coauthored by Prof. Pham Minh Chinh (published by the National Political Publishing House in 2009), who is the current Prime Minister of Vietnam.

He is also active as an editor and reviewer for over 80 academic journals, helping handle hundreds of manuscripts submitted to numerous journals. His analytical views have appeared widely on such news outlets as AFP, AseanAffairs, ETF Trend, Forbes, La Città Futura, La Reppublica, Los Angeles Times, New York Times, Roubini Global Economics, Sina.com, Stratfor, Wall Street Journal, etc. as well as all leading Vietnamese newspapers.

In the author’s role, the Editor himself has coined several major concepts and theoretical frameworks in social sciences: serendipity as a strategic advantage, the 3D information process of creativity, the mindsponge mechanism, cultural additivity, and the semiconducting principle of monetary and environmental values exchange, which will appear in the book to help shed light on the nature, emergence and mechanism of serendipity.
