The teacher librarian at New Hampton Elementary School is more than just an adult who checks out and checks in books for students. Yes, the teacher librarian is responsible for selecting the best materials for all students in the elementary school and is there for book recommendations. But, there is so many opportunities the teacher librarian can provide to students.
Our teacher librarian is in charge of teaching digital citizenship to our students that are growing up in an ever-changing digital world.
The teacher librarian collaborates with all grade-levels in the building to help design and implement engaging and rigorous lessons to challenge students.
The teacher librarian at New Hampton Elementary advocates for student needs, is committed to district goals, and has embraced technology as one of the technology experts in the building.
Our teacher librarian promotes ethical use of information and technology with respect for intellectual property and compliance with laws and copyright guidelines.
The program will be reflected upon continuously to ensure equity and fairness to all participants while at New Hampton Elementary School.
The number of books allowed to be checked out is dependent on the student's grade level.
