We are an academic-run social company with US headquarters dedicated to making excellent research open to all readers. All of our publications are available as high-quality, reasonably priced paperbacks, hardcovers, and ebooks as well as for free in open access formats (PDF, HTML, and XML). Our authors don't pay a fee to publish with us, and they keep complete ownership of their works.

With no Open Access costs (also known as Book Processing Charges or BPCs) for the writers and the bulk of our titles being published under the most flexible reuse standard, New Degree Press offers permanent and free access to our books for readers.

We provide authors with complete ownership, quicker publication dates, flexibility to edit and update their work, and a larger audience. Every book we publish goes through a thorough peer review and the editorial procedure, and we base our publication decisions on academic value rather than financial viability.

No Book Processing Charges for authors

Our top objective as a nonprofit, academic-led publisher like New Degree Press is to make sure that top-notch academic books are freely accessible to readers everywhere. We think that academic work should be available to anyone regardless of their capacity to pay. As a result, we do not charge authors an Open Access publication fee. To cover the costs of publishing their book and allow us to accept more writers who lack funds, we urge those who are qualified to apply for grants from their institutions and other sources.

Research assessment, reviews, and quality standards

All books released by the IBPA may be submitted for evaluation by academic institutions. The Times Literary Supplement, Times Higher Education, Essays in Criticism, Modern Language Review, Choice Review, Romanticism, The Year's Work in English Studies / The Year's Work in Critical and Cultural Theory, Medieval Aevum, The English Historical Review, International Studies in the Philosophy of Science, Journal of European Studies, Slavic and East European Journal, a scholarly blog, and others regularly review our books. On the individual title pages of each book on our website, you can discover a list of our prize-winning titles as well as links to reviews and awards.

Innovative modes of publication

To further enlighten and engage readers and researchers, New Degree Press is open to ideas that engage knowledge in novel ways. We are also eager to work with people and institutions to create new channels for the dissemination of research. Additional digital resources are available for many of our works, which enhance the research described in the book even more. Readers may then confirm the academic conversation and take part, while researchers can continue to use primary sources in their academic work. Author support and speedy service

Throughout the publication process, New Degree Press provides a thoughtful review of any proposal or sample work, as well as constructive criticism and guidance. We will work with you to develop every element of your book, from the blurb on the back page to the cover art, if you would like. We can provide significantly quicker service than many academic book publishers since we are a small and committed crew. We want to decide whether to publish a manuscript within three months of getting the complete manuscript, and we hope to finish the publishing process within three months of receiving the complete manuscript.
