Lions Share Community Impact Grant
2024 Lions Share Community Impact Grant Information
Application submissions will be accepted from August 1, 2024, to Midnight, October 31, 2024
The New Braunfels Noon Lions Club has a legacy program for giving a large sum of money to a local (within Comal County) nonprofit service organization. The name of this grant is the Lions Share Community Impact Grant. For 2024, the LSCIG amount will not exceed $50,000, (but can be for less), to be distributed in equal annual increments up to a five-year period.
The purpose of the LSCIG is to help create profound good. As Lions, we want to uplift projects/programs that will move the needle. We want to support projects that are visionary and innovative. We want to help resolve significant community needs while setting a precedent for impacting the overall future of our community members.
Our grant focus is children, seniors, & families (in that order) and education, health, & housing (in that order).
Applications will NOT be accepted for ongoing general operational expenses, payroll, programs, endowments, and ongoing fundraising campaigns. The LSCIG will NOT be offered every year, but only when the club decides it is ready to make another offering.
The club will award only one LSCIG at a time and maintain only one LSCIG commitment. Application finalists will be asked to participate in a short, informal interview as part of the LSCIG evaluation process.
