Great night cream!
Reviewed in the United States on September 18, 2023
All the neutrogena retinol products are great. I use the night retinol cream in conjunction with the eye cream and I feel a difference in my skin. Keep in mind that retinol products require time for your skin to adjust. I did not take the warnings on the box seriously about breaking up the days and taking it slowly. In a matter of days my skin was tight (in a bad way!), itchy, and dry. Luckily, I had the neutrogena hydroboost night cream and day moisturizing gel, both of which are super hydrating so I hydrated up until my skin returned to normal. After that, I took it slow -- hydroboost most nights and then the retinol products 2-3 nights a week. That worked. Within 2 weeks my skin acclimated to the retinol and I am able to use it most nights. It's a good product. I periodically check ebay for better price points.. consider doing that yourself. Otherwise, go for it!

Great product!

I’ve used neutrogena retinol for years. I just started using the pro plus. None of them come with a seal over the top of the product. Also mine came undamaged in a package. The tiny and smell of it is normal. It is a higher strength of retinol. So if it’s irritating to someone I’d recommend the neutrogena retinol regenerating cream. And also for people just starting this. I’d say use every 2nd to 3rd night. Retinol can be irritating to skin. Especially sensitive skin. And especially if you’re not used to it and you overuse it. Your skin has to be acclimated to retinol. For the retinol users. I’d say try this!! I like it and neutrogena works for me!! And they also have an oil and an eye cream.

Good product
Reviewed in the United States on April 17, 2024
I have been using this product for a couple of weeks and have noticed my skin looks better. The first week it dried some areas on my face so I used a moisturizer in those areas before applying the product. My skin has accumulated and feels good.

FOLLOW THE PACKAGE DIRECTIONS!
Reviewed in the United States on February 7, 2024
Let's be clear. I am 65 years old with wrinkles, so I am not expecting miracles. Even though my skin is sensitive, it has been "good skin" - especially in the last 30 years - no blemishes or discolorations, and very smooth. My dermatologist suggested this particular product as it was the strongest OTC retinol you could get. He said it would help "strengthen" my skin and even it out. But he cautioned me to only use a pea-sized amount for my whole face and only apply it at night, because it reacts badly with the sun. I followed his and the package directions to a T. I washed my face first, used my nightly eye cream just on my eyes, applied the Neutrogena everywhere except my eyes, then moisturized with my normal night cream. The first night, the retinol immediately made my face red, but it didn't sting. (With my sensitive skin, I was anticipating a ZING! But nothing.) Per the directions, I waited a couple nights and followed the same routine. Same result. Repeated it a couple nights later, then went to every other night, then graduated to "almost" nightly. It still makes my face red, but I still have never felt dryness or stinging. Do I see a difference after one month? Can't say I do YET, but I am going to give it at least 90 days. If there's even a HINT of improvement, I am sticking with it. A jar will last for MONTHS so it's not that expensive in the big scheme of things. (P.S. I noticed no scent whatsoever, and, no, it is NOT a moisturizer, so you need to stick with your normal moisturizer over the top of this.)

Makes my skin super dry
Reviewed in the United States on March 16, 2024
It has a great peeling effect, that much I can say. Not sure about "moisturizing " part. Make sure you don't get it on your eye area, it burns when it's starts to peel a couple days later. I'm not sure of the purpose of this product , but I would definitely not recommend it for daily moisturizer/recivery if you have dry skin ... I had to discontinue using it, it literally hurts. The moisturizing effects do not compensate the peeling pain. I would describe it as a good deep peeling product , if you need one, but make sure you got something to soothe your skin with afterwards, I personally would not recommend it for dry or sensitive skin.

It works!
Reviewed in the United States on February 1, 2024
This cream works as well as my prescription for Retinol, for a fraction of the cost.
NOTE: Don't do like I did and start off using it nightly! The skin on my face became reddened, tight, very VERY flaky and the itch was unbearable! After a little research, I found that you start off using it once or twice weekly, and gradually increase as tolerated by your skin. Duly noted!

This is one of the few over-the-counter products I have bought that actually works. Your skin may become red at first, but that's just a sign of the retinol taking effect. I didn't have many wrinkles to begin with, but my skin looked tired, so I gave this a try and saw some improvement. I love it and am on my second jar.
