NeuroVet is a free app that helps veterans rebuild the thinking skills a brain injury disrupts: memory, attention, processing speed, and executive function. Seven exercises, five minutes a day, no appointments, and no cost. It works on iPhone and Android, and everything stays on your phone.
Seven exercises
Memory Grid, working memory
Focus Filter, attention
Speed Match, processing speed
Trail Making, executive function
Go / No-Go, inhibitory control
Digit Span, verbal working memory
Prospective Memory, remembering to do things later
Daily tracking
A symptom check-in, a mood log and a sleep log, with every score charted over time so progress is visible instead of guessed at.
Built in support
The Veterans Crisis Line and other resources are one tap away inside the app.
Your data is yours
Nothing is uploaded. Scores stay on the device, and if you want to share a summary with a caregiver or a provider, you choose who receives it.
NeuroVet was built by Maymuna Kabir, a high school senior in Portland, Oregon, after nearly 130 hours volunteering at the Portland VA Medical Center. Watching veterans work to recover memory, focus, and confidence after a brain injury is what started it.
NeuroVet is a self-training and monitoring tool. It is not a medical device and does not provide clinical diagnosis or treatment. Always consult your VA provider for medical guidance.
