教學發展中心組長
以實驗心理學和醫學影像研究邏輯推理、溝通與激勵、規劃策略和執行、以及整合認知功能提昇效率和執行力的方法。將各種醫學工程和心理學工具(如:腦電波儀(EEG)、核磁共振造影(MRI)、以及腦磁波儀(MEG)等)之研究結果用於建立能解釋人類行為之認知科學理論,應用於衝突和壓力管理,正確有效處理高科技時代的心理層面議題。並且設計認知訓練輔具和課程,讓個案藉著自我學習和科技課程輔助,提昇工作效能,增進情緒和生活管理能力,以達提高生活品質,促進人我關係和諧之目標。此外,也善用人因工程和科技的設計,開發控制現代人情緒和腦波的光組合,並將以醫院照明設備測試治療效果。最後,已經設計並執行系統化深入社區之銀髮族照護網,從組織規劃、人力訓練和分配、產官學醫溝通制度化結構化著手,修正改進醫學界和官方無法完全無縫接軌銀髮族照護之問題。
近來研究著重於應用認知科學幫助病患和銀髮族。首先,以fMRI了解腦傷後認知功能網路變化,並設計個人化復健電腦遊戲,將研究發現應用於臨床輔助治療。此外,因應高齡化社會,亦關注長者的認知功能和溝通能力,從腦影像觀察老化引起之神經變化,依此設計課程使其恢復獨立及延緩退化,未來在長照領域會帶來前瞻性和突破性的應用發展。最後,右腦側化研究幫助找出隨年齡增長而需右腦代償才能執行完善的認知功能,對於腦側化和老化之關聯和模式之科學論述具有相當的貢獻
