Prof. Chia-Hsuan Liao has been fascinated by language and the brain since her very first exposure to neurolinguistics in college. She found EEG (electroencephalography) very useful and has so far collected EEG data from more than 1500 participants. It's her pleasure to share her expertise with students, and she's looking forward to recruiting new blood devoted to this field.

In the Neurolinguistics Lab, Prof. Chia-Hsuan is willing to mentor students to develop research projects based on their interests. When students are affiliated in the lab, reasonable salary will be provided. Prof. Chia-Hsuan also encourages students to present their work either at local or international conferences, such that they can exchange thoughts with other researchers and gain insights to move forward. 

Neurolinguistics is an interdisciplinary field. Prof. Chia-Hsuan hopes that students are eager to explore and resolve the unknown. If you are a graduate student, you are expected to develop a research topic that is presentable to an academic conference. This requires effective student-advisor collaboration. For undergraduate students who would like to know more about neurolinguistics, you may take Prof. Chia-Hsuan's courses and/or discuss with her in terms of the opportunities to work as an intern or a research assistant in the lab.

    實驗室主持人廖家萱老師自大學時期接觸腦神經語言學，便對語言與大腦感到著迷，在以往修課及參與研究計畫的過程中，發現腦電波儀是非常實用的研究工具，至今已親自招募並執行超過1500人次的腦電波實驗。廖老師十分樂意和同學分享研究與學習經驗，期待更多新血投入該領域。

    廖老師對研究工作秉持求精不求多的原則，希望能與同學的興趣結合，發展有特色的研究問題。在研究期間將提供合理的薪資待遇，協助爭取出國開會、和國內外學者面對面交流的機會；期望同學能抱有主動積極的學習態度，面對與解決研究上的困難。平時也歡迎隨時來信約時間討論問題。
