Neurolic is a private on-device AI app for notes, transcription, chat, and memory recall.

This Privacy Policy explains how Neurolic handles information when you use the app. Neurolic is designed to keep user-created content on the user’s device and to avoid sending notes, chats, recordings, transcripts, or local memory data to cloud AI services.

By using Neurolic, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

2. Information Neurolic handles

Neurolic may handle information that you create, save, record, or provide inside the app, including:

• Notes and written text

• Chat messages and chat history

• Audio recordings

• Transcriptions of audio recordings

• Search and memory data created from your notes, chats, and transcripts

• Optional attachments, such as images or files, if you choose to add them

• Local app settings and local app state needed for the app to function

This information is used to provide Neurolic’s core features.

3. Microphone access

Neurolic may request access to your microphone so you can record audio for transcription.

Microphone access is used only when you choose to record audio. Audio recordings may be saved locally on your device so they can be transcribed, reviewed, searched, and recalled later.

Audio recordings and transcripts are stored locally on your device unless you delete them or uninstall the app.

4. Camera, photos, and files

Neurolic may request access to your camera, photos, or files if you choose to attach content to notes or use features that require selected media.

These permissions are used only to let you add selected content to your private workspace. Neurolic does not access your camera, photos, or files unless you choose to use a feature that requires that access.

Selected attachments are stored locally on your device.

5. How Neurolic uses information

Neurolic uses information inside the app to:

• Save and display notes

• Save and display chat history

• Record and transcribe audio

• Search notes, chats, recordings, and transcripts

• Provide AI responses using your saved local context

• Create local memory data so information can be recalled later

• Improve app functionality on your device

• Maintain app state, local storage, and user preferences

6. On-device processing

Neurolic is designed to process AI features on-device.

User-created notes, chats, recordings, transcripts, attachments, and local memory data are not sent to cloud AI services for processing by Neurolic.

Neurolic may download or store local model files and local cache files required for on-device functionality. These files are used to run app features locally on your device.

Some app distribution, installation, device security, and platform-level services may be handled by Google Play, Android, or your device manufacturer according to their own policies. Neurolic does not control Google Play, Android, or device-level processing.

7. No account or developer access to user content

Neurolic does not require users to create an account.

Neurolic does not operate a backend account system that gives the developer access to user notes, chats, recordings, transcripts, attachments, or local memory data.

Neurolic does not provide the developer with an API, dashboard, database, or administrative tool to view user-created content stored inside the app.

User-created content is stored locally on the user’s device and is controlled by the user.

8. Data sharing

Neurolic does not sell personal data.

Neurolic does not share user-created notes, chats, recordings, transcripts, attachments, or local memory data with advertisers, data brokers, cloud AI providers, or third-party analytics services.

9. Data storage

Neurolic stores app data locally on your device using device storage.

This may include:

• Local databases

• Local files

• Local recordings

• Local transcripts

• Local notes

• Local chat history

• Local memory/cache files

• Local model-related files required for app functionality

Because this data is stored locally, it remains under the control of the user and the user’s device.

10. Data retention and deletion

Your data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall Neurolic.

You can delete notes, chats, and recordings inside the app where deletion controls are available. When you delete content, Neurolic removes it from the app’s local storage.

You can also remove Neurolic and its locally stored app data by uninstalling the app through Android.

Some deleted data may remain temporarily in device backups, operating system storage, or system-level caches controlled by Android or your device manufacturer. Neurolic does not control those system-level mechanisms.

11. Security

Neurolic uses local device storage and Android app protections to help keep user-created content contained on the user’s device.

Because Neurolic stores data locally, you are responsible for protecting access to your device. You should use a secure lock screen, keep your operating system updated, and avoid giving unauthorized people access to your phone.

No method of storage or processing is completely secure. However, Neurolic is designed to reduce exposure by keeping user-created content local and avoiding cloud AI processing of that content.

12. Children’s privacy

Neurolic is not directed to children under 13.

Neurolic is intended for general productivity use and is not designed for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

User-created content is stored locally on the user’s device and is controlled by the user. 

13. International users

Neurolic is intended for general productivity use.

The app is designed to store user-created content locally on the user’s device. If you use Neurolic outside your country of residence, your information remains stored locally on your device unless you delete it or uninstall the app.

Google Play, Android, your device manufacturer, and local platform services may operate under their own terms and privacy policies depending on your location. 

14. Third-party services and platform services

Neurolic may be distributed through Google Play and may rely on Android operating system services to install, run, update, and secure the app.

Google Play, Android, your device manufacturer, and your mobile network provider may process certain technical, device, diagnostic, installation, payment, security, or account-related information according to their own privacy policies.

Neurolic does not control those third-party or platform-level services.

15. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.

If we make changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of Neurolic after the Privacy Policy is updated means you accept the updated policy.
