The map below shows the campus around the venue (Building #25-1). Inside the building is the International Conference Hall (국제 회의실) on the first floor.
We are over subscribed! We have now closed registration and emailed all participants, notifying them whether or not they are an "early" registrant. Early registrants will have priority for seats each day 8:15-9:00, and later registrants can take available seats from 9:00. (Talks start at 9:30; see the Program.)
There are numerous cafeteria in the campus, where they sell coffee, tea and sandwiches. The list of all the cafeteria and coffeeshops is here. Most of public places and coffee shops listed near Seoul National University’s Building 25-1 (College of Natural Sciences) are non-smoking inside the premises.
There is a café Two Sum Place (투-썸-플레이스) with 105 seats in building #501 across the road from the venue.
Coffeshop and bakery BeLepi with 40 seats in building #200 across the road from the venue.
Building #63 is the Student Union in which cafeterias, book store, souvenir shop, etc. are located. There is coffeeshop 공차 (Gong-Cha) with 65 seats in this building.
Coffeshop and bakery 느티나무도서관점 with 66 seats in building #60 (main library).
Korean restaurant 두레미담 (Du-Re-Mi-Dam) with 479 seats located in Building #75-1. On the 4th floor of the building, there is a food court with 450 seats.
There is no hotel near SNU. Most of people attending OHBM will be staying near COEX such as Intercontinential Seoul Coex and Shilla Stay Samsung. There are numerious hotels near COEX, where the main OHBM will be held. Taxi from COEX to SNU main campus is about 30min if there is no traffic jam. Just ask taxi driver to go to 서울대학교 25-1동. 동 is pronounced as dong: ㄷ (d) + ㅗ (o) + ㅇ (ng).
It typically takes about 30 minutes to travel by taxi from COEX to SNU. However, the morning rush hour in Seoul, which typically runs from 7:00 AM to 9:30 AM, can significantly impact travel times. Peak congestion occurs between 7:30 AM and 9:00 AM, during which public transportation is also extremely crowded.
• If you depart from COEX at 7:00 AM by taxi, expect a travel time of 45 minutes to 1 hour and 15 minutes.
• If you leave at 8:00 AM, anticipate a travel time of 1 hour to 1 hour and 30 minutes.
1) There is no UBER.
2) Local people use the Kakao T app (similar to the Uber app), which can call taxis but requires a local Korean phone number to use. Therefore, foreign visitors without a local phone number may have difficulty calling a taxi using the app. Your best chance of calling a taxi is to ask the hotel front desk, which can call a taxi for you.

Public transportation
from COEX to SNU building #25-1
1) From Samseong Station near COEX, Subway Line: Line 2 (Green Line).
2) Stop and use Exit 3 of SNU Station. From Exit 3, walk straight for about 100 meters. You’ll find a bus stop right in front of you.
3) Buses to take: 5511, 5513, or 5516. These buses are frequent and head directly into the SNU campus. The bus ride will take around 5 to 10 minutes, depending on traffic and bus speed.
4) Bus Stop: The best stop to get off at for Building 25-1 is “Central Library”.
Bus 5511: Stops directly at the Central Library.
Bus 5513 and 5516: Have stops near the same area and within walking distance to Building 25-1.
5) The walk is approximately 3-5 minutes from the Central Library bus stop to Building 25-1.
How to pay subway & bus. Use T-money card.
1) Buy: Available at subway station kiosks, convenience stores like GS25, CU, 7-Eleven, and some vending machines.
Recharge: Can be recharged at convenience stores and subway stations.
2) Board the Subway: Use your T-money card to enter the subway at Samseong Station.
3) Board bus: Tap your T-money card on the reader when boarding the bus. The fare is deducted automatically.
4) Get Off bus: Tap your T-money card on the reader again when exiting the bus to finalize your fare.
Traditional Korean tea is often served in Insadong area (north of Han river in the center of Seoul) including Hanok Tea House. National Museum of Korea located in Yongsan, Seoul, is a popular place to get a glimpse in traditional Korean arts. Gyeongbok Palace, located in Jongno is a popular place for visitors.
