NEURO DIVERGENCE MUSIC

CHOSEN CHARITY

Roberts has asked that if you like his music, and you can afford a £1 donation, then please consider making a donation to FND HOPE UK, who would very much appreciate your generosity.

When Robert was first diagnosed as having Functional Neurological Disorder (FND),  he reached out to this wonderful charity (as advised by his Neurologist), who were able to provid him with a wealth of support and guidance, which he still finds invaluable today.

Robert was a volunteer for this charity, where he helped out with some simple graphic design, whilst sharing some of his knowledge, to help the charity make better use of some of the lesser-known features of their Google Workspace.

Robert remains extremely grateful for the support that he has received, and for the lasting friendships he made whilst volunteering for this amazing charity.

Robert is committed to ensuring that 100% of your donation goes directly to his chosen charity.  Robert does not recieve any money however arising from your donation, and would like to assure you, that your donation is going directly to the charity, where it is hoped that it will help make a real difference.

Functional Deurological Disorder (FND)

FND is a condition that affects the way your nervous system sends and processes signals between your brain and body. This can cause a variety of symptoms, including:

  • Weakness, tremor, or paralysis in limbs or muscles

  • Abnormal movements, such as twitches, jerks, or seizures

  • Sensory problems, such as numbness, tingling, or pain

  • Balance and coordination problems

  • Speech and language difficulties

  • Cognitive problems, such as memory loss or difficulty concentrating

  • Seizures which can be similar to epileptic seizures, but they don't have the same electrical activity in the brain

FND can be a very challenging condition to live with, as the symptoms can be unpredictable and disabling, and it can be difficult to get a diagnosis.  However, there are treatments available that can help to manage the symptoms and improve quality of life. It's important to note that FND is not caused by any structural damage to the nervous system, such as a tumor or stroke.  Instead, it is thought to be caused by a miscommunication between the brain and body.
