NEURALSURFER BOOKSHOP IS OPEN MONDAYS AND TUESDAYS | 2 to 3 | Building 26B-2551K
I am very pleased to announce that starting this September, we are opening the Neuralsurfer's Little Bookshop to all students at Mt. San Antonio College. What makes this bookish enclave unique is that all books are free for the taking (with a limit of 3 per week). Several years ago I started this on a small scale for students in my philosophy courses where after class they would come by and take any book they wanted. We are now opening this up to the entire college. As an incurable bibliomaniac, I realized some time ago that my book collection had exceeded all of my expectations. We guess that we have nearly 25,000 books in our library at La Quinta and elsewhere. I love books too much, but I enjoy infecting others with that same love. So in that spirit, we are hoping to give away 10,000 to 15,000 books over the next couple of years. The titles are mostly focused on science, religion, history, and philosophy. Each title has been specially chosen by me and curated in terms of its intellectual value. A small video and brochure will be coming out shortly.
