Neural Dynamics and Behavior Group
Research Summary
Our ability to interpret sensory signals and to perform decision-making tasks depends strongly on our behavioral state - including the level of arousal, motor movements, stress and attention. The primary focus of our research group is to dissect the neural mechanisms that underlie state-dependent sensory processing and decision-making behavior and to reveal how perturbations in these mechanisms contribute to the etiology of psychiatric disorders.
