NetZero's aim is to plant as many trees as fast and effectively as possible.

How?

You sponsor a tree, we plant them. Your trees are then sucking your carbon out of the air as they grow. With your sponsorship they will become big carbon capturing organisms which will also supply much needed habitat.

We are starting on 2 sites around the Wombat Forest in Victoria. With the aim of planting the first trees this Autumn. Your help can make this the start of something big. Once we have raised the first $10,000 for the first batch of trees, we will launch more planting projects, then more and more and more.

After the recent catastrophic fires in Australia, we need to plant as many trees as possible, not only to absorb carbon, but to provide important habitat for our native animals like koalas who are doing it tough.

NetZero is making it easier for people and businesses to off-set their carbon pollution.

You sponsor the trees, NetZero arranges the planting and maintenance of them. The landholder reaps the benefits of free trees plus $1 per tree, and the resulting value adding of the property, ensuring the trees will be looked after and treated as an asset.

We shall be creating, with your help, not only carbon sinks, but also habitat for birds and other animals, plants, mycelium and insects.

This is an informal not for profit arrangement, relying on trust and commitment. Landholders will sign the NetZero Planters Principles which you can find on this website under the "Planter" section. Landholders around forests like the Wombat Forest, (where we are starting up), are keen, and definitely know the benefits of trees and would be happy to plant trees for you on their land.

Trees are amazing, they absorb carbon, prevent soil erosion and weed infestation, create a valuable carbon sink asset, increase biodiversity and habitat, improve water quantity and quality, make land more valuable and productive, improve the landscape and generate economic growth.

We are growing a forest, a growing living community. We will be regularly updating you on your trees and the progress of this initiative through regular events, photos, videos and posts and impact reports. This initiative is primarily aimed at helping people get in as many trees as quickly and effectively as possible.

You, by sponsoring trees, and by spreading this initiative, will help develop improved methodologies for carbon off-set projects and help spread information and tools to land managers to improve tree planting projects.

We can do it now. Sponsor what you can now and we will get the trees in the ground, they will start absorbing carbon immediately.

Planting trees is not enough to offset everyone's emissions however. There is not enough space on the planet to plant the trees that would be necessary.

The fact is we have to reduce our carbon emissions, kick the fossil fuel habit, and fix the corrupt political system that props up fossils. 5% of all sponsor funds will be donated to groups that are working toward a net zero economy.
