Network Analyzer ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard information when you use our tvOS application.
2. Information We Collect
Network Analyzer collects the following types of information locally on your device:
2.1 Network Information- Local IP address (IPv4/IPv6)- Gateway IP address- DNS server addresses (Primary and Secondary)- Network connection type (WiFi/Ethernet)- Network speed status
2.2 WiFi Information- WiFi network name (SSID) - when available- Signal strength estimates- Channel information- Frequency band (2.4 GHz / 5 GHz)
2.3 Network Performance Data- Internet speed test results (download/upload speeds, ping latency)- Bandwidth monitoring data- Network history and trends (up to 30 days)- Connection stability metrics
2.4 Local Network Scan Data- Devices discovered on your local network (IP addresses, hostnames, device types)- Port scan results- Network diagnostic results (ping, DNS lookup, connection tests)
2.5 Application Usage Data- Network alerts and warnings you configure- Statistics and summaries (daily, weekly, monthly)- User preferences and settings
3. How We Use Your Information
All information collected by Network Analyzer is used solely for the following purposes:- To provide network analysis and diagnostic features- To display network performance metrics and statistics- To generate network health reports and recommendations- To alert you about network issues based on your configured thresholds- To maintain network history and trend analysis
4. Data Storage and Security
4.1 Local Storage- All data collected by Network Analyzer is stored exclusively on your Apple TV device- Data is stored using iOS/tvOS UserDefaults and local file storage- No data is transmitted to external servers or third parties- Network history data is retained for up to 30 days and automatically deleted thereafter
4.2 Data Security- All data remains on your device and is not accessible to us or any third parties- We do not have access to your device or the data stored on it- Your network information is processed in real-time and displayed only within the application
5. Third-Party Services
5.1 Speed Test Services- Network Analyzer uses Cloudflare's public speed test API (speed.cloudflare.com) to measure internet speeds- No personal information is transmitted to Cloudflare during speed tests- Only test data (file downloads/uploads) is exchanged for measurement purposes- Cloudflare's privacy policy applies to their services: https://www.cloudflare.com/privacy/
5.2 No Other Third-Party Services- Network Analyzer does not use analytics services- Network Analyzer does not use advertising services- Network Analyzer does not use crash reporting services- Network Analyzer does not collect or share any data with third parties
6. Local Network Access
Network Analyzer requires access to your local network to:- Discover devices on your local network- Scan for open ports- Analyze network topology- Perform network diagnostics
This access is requested through tvOS's NSLocalNetworkUsageDescription permission. All local network scanning is performed on your device only, and no information about your local network is transmitted outside your device.
7. Children's Privacy
Network Analyzer does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately.
8. Your Rights
You have the following rights regarding your data:- Access: All data is stored locally on your device and accessible through the application- Deletion: You can clear network history and statistics at any time through the application settings- Control: You can stop network monitoring, history recording, and alerts at any time- Transparency: This Privacy Policy explains all data collection and usage
9. Data Retention
- Network history data is automatically deleted after 30 days- You can manually clear all stored data at any time through the application- When you delete the application, all associated data is removed from your device
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
11. tvOS-Specific Information
Network Analyzer is designed for Apple TV (tvOS). Due to tvOS system limitations:- Some network information may be estimated (e.g., DNS servers, Gateway IP)- WiFi SSID information may not be available in all cases- Full WiFi network scanning capabilities are limited by tvOS restrictions- DNS changes are not supported on tvOS
