Network Ledger is a Chrome extension designed to help users organize, search, and use professional contact information that they choose to provide in a private, account-based ledger. 

Information We Process 

Network Ledger may process and store information that users voluntarily provide, including: 

• Name 

• Job title 

• Company 

• Location 

• Email address 

• Phone number 

• Work authorization or visa information 

• Professional profile URL 

• Resume, candidate, or other professional information that a user chooses to paste into the extension 

• Recruiter-created information such as notes, shortlist status, and contacted status 

• Account and authentication information 

How Information Is Added 

Network Ledger does not automatically scrape webpages. 

Users choose the professional information they want to add, including by copying or pasting information into the extension and reviewing extracted information before saving it. 

How We Use Information 

Information is used only to provide and improve Network Ledger's user-facing functionality, including: 

• Creating and maintaining user accounts 

• Saving professional contacts to a user's personal ledger 

• Searching and organizing saved contacts 

• Preventing duplicate records 

• Maintaining authenticated sessions 

• Matching saved contacts against job requirements provided by the user 

• Supporting recruiter notes, shortlist status, contacted status, and other recruiter-memory features 

• Allowing users to export or delete their Network Ledger data 

Server-Side and Local Data 

Saved ledger contacts and information required to operate user accounts and authenticated sessions may be stored using the services that operate Network Ledger. Ledger records are associated with the authenticated user's account. 

Some information used by extension features may be stored locally in the user's Chrome browser. This may include resume or candidate evidence voluntarily provided by the user, recruiter-memory information, and unfinished extension drafts. 

Locally stored information is associated with the relevant Network Ledger account within the extension. 

Data Sharing and Selling 

Network Ledger does not sell user data. 

Network Ledger does not use or transfer user data for advertising, creditworthiness, lending, or purposes unrelated to Network Ledger's stated user-facing functionality. 

Network Ledger may rely on service providers and infrastructure necessary to operate the extension and its backend. Information is handled only as necessary to provide Network Ledger's functionality. 

Data Export 

Network Ledger provides an Export My Data feature that allows an authenticated user to export data associated with their account that is available through Network Ledger, including saved contacts and supported locally stored Network Ledger information. 

Passwords and authentication session tokens are not included in this export. 

Data Retention and Deletion 

Information may be retained while it is needed to operate Network Ledger and provide its functionality. 

Network Ledger provides authenticated privacy controls within the extension. 

Delete My Data allows a user to delete their saved ledger contacts while keeping their Network Ledger account active. The extension also clears supported locally stored Network Ledger information associated with that account on the Chrome profile where the deletion is performed. 

Delete Account allows a user to delete their Network Ledger account and associated active application data, including saved ledger contacts and active Network Ledger sessions. The extension also clears supported locally stored Network Ledger information associated with that account on the Chrome profile where the deletion is performed. 

Deletion from active application data does not necessarily remove information immediately from infrastructure-level backups, logs, or service-provider retention systems where temporary retention may be required for security, reliability, legal, or operational purposes.

Security 

Reasonable measures are used to protect stored information and restrict access to authenticated users. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure. 

Changes to This Privacy Policy 

This Privacy Policy may be updated as Network Ledger develops. Any updated policy will be published on this page with a revised effective date.
