When you receive an email from a customer it pops up in your outlook inbox, just like any other normal email. If you click on the new email, you'll see a box pop up on the right side of the screen, as seen in the screenshot below.

The integration with Outlook searches NetSuite's customer records for the sender's name and email address. It pulls up any matches, whether it's a contact, customer, employee, or transactions such as sales orders.

If you attach the email to something other than the customer level, such as an opportunity or a transaction, it would post to the messages section of those transactions and roll up into the customer record. This is all done through NetSuite's standard settings, so you don't need to worry about logging it anywhere special!

You'll see "SuperSync Email for NetSuite" pop up in the Bcc email field. Once you send the email, it also sends it to NetSuite and captures it against the customer, vendor, or whatever you have it logged to.

If the outbound email address doesn't match something in NetSuite, we've set up a saved search that shows you any emails that have not been matched so you can decide what to do with them. You can choose to add a new customer or vendor record or ignore it if it doesn't need to be logged.

SCS Cloud is dedicated to making your cloud software solutions integrate seamlessly with your business processes. We've created a few pieces of settings within NetSuite that you can control to make the Netsuite and Outlook integration run smoothly.

Another list included with our SuperSync set up is the email profile list, which associates each user of the Outlook connector with a profile. There are some pre-built profiles like accounts receivable or sales, but you can customize it to whatever works best for you. When you work with these profiles, it gives you the option to select which matching types you want that profile to use. For example, with sales, I have contacts, customers, employees, and opportunities. You can choose to use the ones we've set up or create your own!

Employees don't actually need access to NetSuite to be able to record emails back and forth between NetSuite and Outlook. All that's required is for them to be set up as an employee record within NetSuite! This is great, as each employee is able to record emails to NetSuite even without needing access to the tool.

NetSuite for Outlook enables you to save emails from outlook to NetSuite and synchronize your events, tasks, phone calls and contacts. You can control how frequently your sync, which records from your account is synced, and how conflicts between NetSuite and Outlook are resolved, enabling you to configure the application to work seamlessly with your current business processes.

NetSuite for Outlook is mainly useful for sales managers, sales reps, support representatives and administrative assistants. NetSuite for Outlook 2.0 is compatible with Microsoft outlook 2003, 2007, and 2010, and operating systems Windows XP and Vista. Only the 32-bit version of outlook is supported.

If you do not have Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0 and Microsoft Visual Studio Tools for Office (VSTO) 4.0 installed on your computer, they are installed automatically before NetSuite for Outlook is installed.

 6. After click on install to NetSuite for Outlook, if you are using using Internet Explorer or Safari, select Run. If you are using Firefox or Chrome, after the installer downloads, open and run the file.

Go to Outlook Sync Configurations (Path: Setup -> Company -> NetSuite Account Information -> Outlook Sync Configurations) to create configurations for the NetSuite roles that are being used to Sync with Outlook.

Has anyone else used this and mass deployed it? Also, if not, is there a way to trick the program into thinking they are admins but use my credentials? Any help would save me weeks of tracking down users so that i can 1) make them admin 2) log them off and have them relogin 3) install netsuite addin 4) verify it works and then remove local admin access and log them off 5) repeat this for every upgrade to the netsuite addin.

I will say, though, if you migrate over to Gmail, there is a connector from Celigo that is really slick. My previous company migrated to Gmail eventually, and we absolutely loved that plugin. Users loved it. Management loved it. Admins loved it.

Well at least I can feel better knowing I wasnt alone! If I had literally ANY say in this, we would steer clear! But I have a boss that once he determines something will be done, its not worth it to question it - no matter how silly.

Anyone have any advice for how to ask for what I want? Perhaps ask if they have an MSI package or ask if i can speak to one of the software developers to ask if there is a way to enter settings in GPO to the registry or something that allows me to just install as admin? I am going to try those but any others thoughts of what to ask for would be really helpful.

The admin issue I believe is resolved as we did not have this issue for install and running. We just rolled this out here for our whole sales team however a week after it was done and working smoothly it all crapped out. 152ee80cbc
