We invite research proposal summaries (analogous to what you would submit for an NSF proposal) from senior graduate students (who are within 1 year from the completion of their Ph.D. degrees) and early-career Ph.D. graduates (postdoctoral fellows, research scientists, and new assistant professors). More details including information on travel grants are available at the full call for proposals.
Interested participants should prepare a document containing the following information:
One-page research statement in the NSF-summary style format broadly outlining applicant’s research interests, in addition to giving some details on at least one specific problem the applicant is working on or proposes to work on within the broad research area of networking. For the specific research problem described, the applicant should clearly explain the research challenges and argue why the proposed approach is promising. Applicants should use this skeleton template.
Two-page bio-sketch of the applicant, following the NSF biographical sketch guidelines (see an example template as a reference)
One paragraph describing how the applicant believes attending the workshop would be beneficial to advance his/her research career.
Please compile this material into a single PDF and submit it to this Google Form.
Incomplete applications will not be considered.
