NetMode AI is a Chrome DevTools extension that lets developers capture, inspect, edit, and replay the API requests made by the page they're inspecting, with optional AI assistance.
Runs only while Chrome DevTools is open on the tab you're inspecting.
Has no servers — your data is never sent to the developer.
Everything stays on your device unless you use the AI feature, which sends request data to Google Gemini using your own API key.
We never sell your data or use it for ads.
Captured requests (local): URLs, headers, bodies, timing, and status of the inspected tab, kept in session storage only to display, edit, and replay them.
Saved presets (local): stored on your device; never leave your browser.
Your Gemini API key (local): stored on your device, sent only to Google to authenticate your AI requests.
AI data (only when you use it): your prompt plus a digest of the relevant requests (and bodies if you enable that) go to Google Gemini under Google's privacy policy. Sensitive headers are redacted by default.
No backend server, no analytics or tracking, no selling/sharing data, no advertising, no model training.
Storage — remembers settings, presets, and your API key locally.
Scripting / all-site access — captures and replays requests on the tab you're inspecting; active only with DevTools open.
Captured data clears when the session ends. Presets and your key stay until you remove them ("Forget key" or remove the extension).
