Netkey Privacy Policy
Effective date: 14 July 2026
Netkey is built to respect your privacy. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with your information.
What we store
- All of your data (saved Wi-Fi networks, passwords, notes, groups, speed-test history, and activity) is stored locally on your device using Apple's on-device database.
- Passwords are encrypted on-device. The app does not upload your saved networks or passwords to any server.
- There are no user accounts, and no sign-in is required.
What we do not collect
- No advertising. No ad networks or ad identifiers.
- No analytics or tracking SDKs, and no third-party trackers.
- We do not sell or share your personal data with anyone.
AI features
- When you use the optional AI assistant, the text of your question and limited network context you choose to send are transmitted through our secure proxy server to an AI service provider (Anthropic) to generate a response.
- This is used only to answer your request. Your saved passwords are not sent for AI processing.
Purchases
- Purchases are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. Netkey never sees or stores your payment information.
Data deletion
- You can delete any network in the app, empty the in-app Trash, or use Delete All Networks in Settings.
- Deleting the app from your device removes all of its local data.
Children
- Netkey is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
- We may update this policy and will post any changes on this page with a new effective date.
