Typing http://192.168.1.1 or http://routerlogin.net
Entering username (admin) and password (password or your custom one)
Navigate to Wireless Settings or Wi-Fi Settings
You’ll see two fields:
SSID (Wi-Fi Name)
Wi-Fi Password (or Network Key)
Replace the existing name with a unique and recognizable name (e.g., HomeWiFi_2025)
Avoid using personal info like your full name or address
Create a strong password using a combination of:
Uppercase and lowercase letters
Numbers
Special characters
Example: MyNetgear#4569
Avoid weak passwords like 12345678, password, or netgear123.
Click the Apply/Save button
Your router will reboot
All connected devices will be disconnected and must reconnect using the new Wi-Fi password
