With FlixiCam, you can save your preferred Netflix movies on your devices and transfer them to other devices for offline viewing, even without the Netflix app or an internet connection. The downloaded videos can be up to 1080P in quality, and you don't need to worry about audio tracks as FlixiCam preserves 5.1 surround sound, multi-language audio, and subtitles according to your preferences.

So Netflix's app actually supports downloading content for viewing offline. It sounds like you actually want to rip the video to video files for permanent keeps. There are ways to do this but this kind of discussion probably isn't even allowed here since it is piracy.

Netflix Download Offline Chromecast

I actually ended up getting a cheap tablet + SD card to work as a media centre. So if there are things I can not stream on netflix (due to unavailability), I download it on to my tablet and chrome cast it over.

Hi, I have a cabin that has no internet and gets no cell phone connection. I download Netfix movies to my phone or tablet to watch offline and want to cast them from my phone or tablet to my TV. Can I set up an old wifi router at my cabin. Connect the chromecast and phone to the wifi network and cast my screen from a phone or tablet without any internet?

While there are situations that you can use a Chromecast with local WiFi but no internet, I don't believe the Netflix app allows you to cast downloaded content for offline viewing. You can try disconnecting your internet (leaving your wifi on) at home to test whether this has changed or not.

I use google chromecast for casting tv apps on my tv, smart tv and no smart tv (lol). Since ios14 it will not remember the chromecast device on either tv. Two different models and capabilities. I constantly have to reboot the chromecast device when I want to cast an app to either tv. Anybody else have this issue??

SOLVED: I was having the same problem with a TV using chromecast. I found that unflagging the Private Address in the Wi-Fi settings solved the problem, as well as checking in Privacy-local network that the app was green.

It is not trouble with wifi. Chromecast not working visible on iPhone and iPad Pro anymore after iOS 14 Update. It is also not possible to reset it and make a new connection, because Bluetooth doesn't show the chromecast anymore.

If you really need the media, say for a child who has a particular bedtime routine or the like that you're trying to preserve, best bet is probably to see if the programs you want / need are available for offline viewing on Netflix (this is a recently added feature). Then you can download them to your device and just watch on there.

Also, Netflix recently added a feature to download select TV show episodes and movies to your device for offline viewing. So you don't necessarily have to buy them on iTunes or another service. From the device you plan to use, open up Netflix and go to the show you want. From the list of episodes (for TV series) or the main info screen (for movies), look for an icon labeled "Download"; icon image is a down-pointing arrow above a horizontal line. If you see that icon, you can download that episode / movie.

The Netflix app for iOS supports AirPlay, a proprietary protocol stack developed by Apple, which allows wireless streaming between devices of multimedia content. This means that you can stream Netflix movies and shows from your iOS devices to any AirPlay-enabled devices over local Wi-Fi. And because the app also supports offline downloads, you have everything you need to enjoy Netflix offline on your Mac. Well, almost everything. You also need an app like AirServer so you can receive AirPlay streams on your Mac.

Initial chromecast testing has revealed that it is a DIAL device and sniffing shows several interesting commands that can be sent to it. The chromecast dongle is apparently listening on http port 8008. (Also port 9080 while Netflix app is running)...

Thankfully, most major streamers have that handy download function, but it's not something inherent to all subscriptions. And even among those that do have that feature, there are certain restrictions. Netflix, for example, reserves downloads for certain titles; even others only allow you to watch offline with lower-resolution options. So in this list, we've gathered the best streaming services that allow downloads.

There are three plans, though pricing differs from region to region. First up is the Basic plan, which allows you to watch on one device at a time. Upgrading to the Standard plan allows you to watch shows and movies, and download them for offline viewing, on up to 2 different devices at a time. The top-tier Premium plan lets you watch and download on up to 4 different devices, and comes with the options to watch videos in HD and Ultra HD.

Another great alternative to Chromecast is the iPazzPort Cast, which lets you stream both online and offline content from your phone to your TV in 1080p. The HDMI dongle connects directly to your handheld device via Wi-Fi and has support for Miracast, AirPlay, and DLNA.

Even if you downloaded content from the Netflix app for offline viewing, it won't be kept in a way that allows USB access. To do otherwise would be equivalent to avoiding digital encryption for content that is protected by copyright.

I just got my chromecast device. It can stream YouTube and tabs from Chrome. Because Netflix is not available on Ubuntu you cannot stream movies from Ubuntu. Tab streaming gives you a lot of cool features. I already tried: streaming photos from Flickr, streaming videos from Vimeo, streaming music from SoundCloud or Google Music (I connected it to Receiver, so experience is awesome).

Disney+ is also unique in that, at launch, it provided unlimited mobile downloads for offline viewing. Subscribers can download to as many as 10 mobile devices, including tablets. There is no limit to the number of titles that can be downloaded for offline viewing. ff782bc1db
