NZH MISSION STATEMENT AND CORE VALUES
In the summer of 2022, The NZH Project founder and third year BA (HONS) Business with Management student, Clark collected plastic pollution whilst hiking in the remote Scottish borders, took it home and recycled it. Nothing unusual, many lovers of the Great British outdoors often do the same, during preferred outdoor recreational activities, walking on beaches and local parks, for example. The amount of litter collected sparked a thought and from that thought, came an idea. People. People and their every day activities, holding the key to reducing plastic pollution, driving a positive change in culture towards greener decision making.
Spending the summer months developing the idea into a substantial business plan , Clark introduced the Net Zero Hero concept to a university professor, who encouraged further development and entered the NZH concept into the Young Enterprise Start-Up Program, 2022. Subsequently recruiting third year BA (HONS) Business with Management student and small business owner, Lynette Toon as Financial Officer, as well as Blackburn University third year BSc Computer Science students to the team,
