NESTIVAL: Celebrating Migratory Bird Day
Crafts, Prizes, Vendors, & Education
Join us on Saturday, May 9th from 12 to 4 PM at Odd Colony Brewing Company in downtown Pensacola for a free afternoon of crafts, prizes, local vendors, and educational activities for all ages.
Every spring, something remarkable happens above our heads. Millions of birds take to the sky, crossing continents, oceans, and borders on journeys that have unfolded for thousands of years. Nestival is a new tradition in Pensacola, an event where people can gather to appreciate or learn about birds.

Where are the funds going?
All proceeds from this year's Nestival event will go towards the purchase of a Motus Wildlife Tracking System in Pensacola through the Francis M. Weston Audubon Society.
What's a MOTUS Tower?
A Motus Tower (Motus Wildlife Tracking System) is a specialized automated radio telemetry station that tracks small, tagged animals—such as birds, bats, and insects—in real-time as they pass within 12.4 miles (roughly 20 km). Part of the collaborative Motus Wildlife Tracking System, these stations (also known as receiver stations or automated radio telemetry stations) use antennas to detect unique, high-frequency digital "pings" from miniaturized transmitters.

Nestival is free to attend because we believe that nature and the joy of celebrating it should be accessible to everyone. But free events aren't free to put on.
Your donation helps cover the cost of making this day possible. Any proceeds beyond our event costs go directly to the F.M. Weston Audubon Society, this year's featured nonprofit, whose work to support and protect migratory birds makes a real difference in our community and beyond.
Every dollar counts. Donate today and help us keep this celebration going for years to come.
Why Birds Matter
Migratory birds carry seeds across continents, pollinate plants, control insect populations, and serve as some of our most important indicators of ecosystem health. When birds thrive, the natural world thrives. When they struggle, it's a signal that something is out of balance.
Pensacola sits along one of North America's most significant migratory pathways. Every spring and fall, our skies fill with travelers passing through. Warblers, shorebirds, raptors, and more make our community an important stop on one of nature's most incredible journeys.
