Section NExT (New Experiences in Teaching)
The Mathematical Association of America (MAA) is the largest professional society that focuses on undergraduate mathematics education. Our members include university, college, and high school teachers; graduate and undergraduate students; pure and applied mathematicians; computer scientists; statisticians; and many others in academia, government, business, and industry. We welcome all who are interested in the mathematical sciences.
The mission of the MAA is "to advance the understanding of mathematics and its impact on our world."
The mission of the Northeastern Section is to advance the mission of the MAA on a regional level; offer guidance to the MAA as it forms and fulfills its mission; provide professional development and networking activities for Section members and mathematics students within geographically accessible locations; and promote discussion and action on issues affecting mathematics teaching, learning, and research in the region.
