My research area is algebraic geometry. I am a professor at KU Leuven in the mathematics department, section algebra. 

I am also a visiting professor at the Yau Mathematical Sciences Center, Tsinghua University, Beijing, and an external research member of the Basque Center for Applied Mathematics, Bilbao.
