Northeast Region Healthcare Coalition
The Northeast Region Healthcare Coalition is a collaboration of health care organizations, emergency medical services, public health departments, emergency management agencies, behavioral health partners, and other community partners to enhance regional preparedness and response capabilities.
ABOUT US
As pursuant to the requirements of the Hospital Preparedness Program (HPP), a division of the federal Office of the Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response (ASPR), the primary function of the Northeast Region Healthcare Coalition (NERHCC) is to coordinate and conduct healthcare emergency preparedness activities throughout the Colorado Northeast All Hazards Region. Colorado’s NERHCC exists to promote, develop and enhance the region’s cross jurisdictional coordination to the health and medical component of incident preparedness, response, and recovery.
The Northeast Region includes the following Colorado counties: Cheyenne, Kit Carson, Larimer, Lincoln, Logan, Morgan, Phillips, Sedgwick, Washington, Weld, and Yuma.
OUR MISSION
The NERHCC will support healthcare organizations, public health departments, coordinate with emergency management agencies, and the inclusion of community partners to prepare for, respond to, mitigate, and recover from disasters by:
Promoting integration
Collaboration
Effective information sharing and situational awareness
Strategic resource support
WHAT WE PROVIDE
Trainings that provide members with a foundation of knowledge needed to understand the concept of emergency preparedness. These courses will give the tools necessary to effecively communicate with all members of the coalition.
Community-based exercises that will allow you to test your process and procedures to identify strengths and areas of improvement.
Opportunities to work with a network of regional partners centered on emergency preparedness planning to increase capabilities and knowledge.
MEMBER EXPECTATIONS
The coalition is only as strong as the members that attend and participate; therefore, each member is expected to:
Attend quarterly meetings, once a quarter for a total of four per year.
Actively participate in planning, training, and exercising opportunities as applicable.
Be willing to collaborate with all coalition members.
