Organising an event

How does it work?

You want to organise an event? That's great! Thank you for the initiative. :)

Send the group organiser (Ian) a message with the following information, so they can set up the event on the website. You will still be able to edit the details after publication.

  • date

  • duration

  • location

  • maximum number of people who can attend (if applicable)

  • (short) description for the event

Notes about the location

If the location is private, I will mark it as such so it doesn't end up in Meetup's public database. If you don't want the exact address to be published, but rather have it be by approximation and message the attendees the exact address beforehand, that's absolutely fine!

Accessibility

If you could list some information about the location so people can determine if it is accessible to them, that would be great:

  • is it wheelchair accessible? (Including the toilets.)

  • what is the level of stimuli (low/medium/high) in terms of sound, (flashing) lights, smell, etc.

  • how is the air quality? (Is it smoke free? Pets with fur? Dusty?)

  • how easily can be be reached by public transport?
