Description: The “Cane and Bamboo Technological Up-gradation and Networking Project” was implemented by NECBDC, erstwhile Cane and Bamboo Development Council (CBDC) and funded by the United Nation Development Program (UNDP).The Phase I of the project was concluded in August 2013 under which five clusters were formed.The Phase II of the project was commenced in 2018 under which 11 new clusters were formed. This project covers 16 clusters, two in each of the 8 North Eastern states. Furthermore, few potential clusters were also adopted under the project.

It's a Farmer Cooperative Society consisting of more than 450 marginal women farmers. The FPO deals primarily in Agriculture related commodities like Black Pepper and other horticultural crops like Pineapple and Assam Lemon. The FPO work in the entire value chain of the produce right from plantations to market linkage.
