If you want a lightweight, sweat-proof open-ear solution that stays secure while lying on your side, choose NEOQOQO A50; if you need a dedicated FM radio receiver with over-ear sound isolation for stationary listening or commuting, choose YUFFUN F5.
• NEOQOQO A50: Its greatest strength is the ultra-lightweight 5.3g clip-on design that offers two wearing styles and massive battery life, but it lacks physical ear cups to block out wind noise completely.
• YUFFUN F5: It excels as a portable FM radio with full US band reception and soft over-ear earmuffs for comfort, yet it relies on a wired connection for music and has a shorter playtime compared to the open-ear alternative.
• Who picks which: The A50 is the clear winner for active users and side sleepers who need stability without pressure, while the F5 fits those prioritizing local news, sports broadcasts, and traditional audio immersion.
The NEOQOQO A50 is engineered specifically for people who refuse to sacrifice comfort for features. At just 5.3 grams per earbud, this device feels almost weightless on your face. The material is soft silicone, designed to hug the ear without digging in. This is critical for anyone who sleeps on their side. Traditional in-ear buds often create painful pressure points after an hour of rest, forcing you to toss and turn. The A50 avoids this entirely because it clips onto the outer rim rather than inserting deep into the canal. You get the benefit of audio without the "plugged" feeling that ruins sleep quality.
Beyond comfort, the versatility of the wear style sets this product apart. The design includes an upgraded sound hole that allows you to switch between a standard clip-on style and a more traditional in-ear placement. This flexibility means you can adapt to different environments instantly. If you are running outdoors and need maximum stability, the clip-on grip holds firm. If you are in a noisy gym and need better isolation, the alternative position might offer a slightly tighter seal. It truly functions as a dual-purpose tool.

The battery performance here is genuinely impressive for its size. You get 8 hours of continuous use from the buds alone, and the charging case adds another 40 hours. That 48-hour total is not a marketing fluff number; it is enough to last through a week of daily commutes and workouts without needing to plug in the case. The Bluetooth 6.0 connectivity ensures that pairing is fast and stable, supporting multipoint connection so you can jump between your phone and tablet seamlessly. With IPX5 waterproofing, you don't have to worry about rain during a morning run or heavy sweating at the end of a workout. It is built for the person who moves constantly and needs gear that never quits.
The YUFFUN F5 serves a very different purpose. It is not primarily a wireless music player for the modern smartphone era; it is a specialized FM radio headset. If you love tuning into local stations for weather updates, talk shows, or live sports commentary like the NFL or MLB, this is your device. The frequency range covers the entire US local radio band from 50MHz to 108MHz, ensuring you catch every broadcast clearly. The over-ear design with soft earmuffs provides excellent sound isolation, creating a quiet pocket where you can focus on the content playing through the speakers.
This headset shines when you are stationary or traveling by car or bus. The over-ear shape creates a natural barrier against outside noise, which is ideal for listening to the radio without cranking the volume up dangerously high. The controls are simple push buttons, which are easier to manage than touch sensors if you are wearing gloves or moving quickly. The battery lasts for 24 hours on a single charge, which is sufficient for long road trips or multi-day camping trips where you rely on the radio for entertainment. However, it does require a wired connection for music playback via the included 3.5mm jack, meaning you cannot stream directly from your phone wirelessly without an adapter.
The build quality focuses on portability and durability. It folds down easily and weighs only 5.7 ounces, making it easy to slip into a backpack or jacket pocket. The Type-C charging port ensures fast recharging in just 2 hours. While it lacks the advanced wireless features of modern competitors, its strength lies in its reliability as a dedicated radio receiver. It is perfect for the commuter who wants to stay informed about local traffic and news, or the traveler who wants to listen to sports games without relying on streaming data plans.

• Best value for commuters → YUFFUN F5: Ideal for those who prioritize local news and traffic updates over streaming music wirelessly.
After analyzing the specifications and intended use cases, I would buy the NEOQOQO A50. My reasoning is simple: most modern buyers are looking for a device that bridges the gap between fitness and daily relaxation. The A50's ability to serve as both a high-performance workout companion and a comfortable sleep aid makes it the more versatile choice. Specifically for side sleepers, the lack of pressure points is a game-changer that the over-ear YUFFUN F5 simply cannot match. While the F5 is a fantastic tool for radio listeners, the A50 offers a broader utility spectrum with superior battery life and true wireless convenience. In my opinion, the NEOQOQO A50 is the best wireless earbuds for side sleepers because it prioritizes ergonomics without sacrificing the audio clarity needed for podcasts or music.
The NEOQOQO A50 features tap controls for managing calls and music, and its open-ear design is uniquely suited for side sleeping due to its light weight and lack of insertion pressure.
No, the YUFFUN F5 is designed primarily as an FM radio receiver. For music playback, you must use the included 3.5mm auxiliary cable to connect it to your device.
The NEOQOQO A50 offers a much longer total playtime of 48 hours with its charging case, while the YUFFUN F5 provides 24 hours of continuous use on a single charge.
Yes, the A50 has an IPX5 waterproof rating, meaning it can withstand sweat and rain effectively, making it a reliable companion for outdoor activities.
