2. Type and Scope of Data Collection
This mobile application (“Neon Snake: Infinity”) can be used entirely offline. Optional online features are available if you choose to register/log in.
- Offline use (no login):
- No personal data within the meaning of the GDPR is collected, processed, or stored by us.
- The app does not use third-party analytics, ads, or cloud services.
- No data is shared with third parties.
- Optional online features (cloud save and account):
- If you choose to register/log in, we process:
- Account identifier: a display name/username you provide and a userId assigned by the server.
- Authentication: your password is transmitted to the server for login; the app does not store your password on the device.
- Gameplay/state data you choose to sync: high scores and user state (coins, unlocked/selected skins, current event name and expiry, event shards, and game settings such as language, FPS, audio/vibration toggles, and on-screen control positions/sizes).
- No analytics or advertising data is collected.
Since offline use does not involve personal data, no GDPR processing applies. If you opt in to online features, processing is limited to the categories above.
3. Purpose and Legal Basis
- Purpose: Provide optional account and cloud-sync functionality so you can back up or restore game data across sessions/devices.
- Legal basis:
- Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract) for providing account and cloud-save features at your request.
- Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent) for optional online features; you can continue using the app offline without logging in.
4. Local Storage
- Game progress, high scores, and settings are stored locally on your device.
- Local data is removed automatically when you uninstall the app.
5. Server Storage and Retention (only if you log in)
- If you use online features, your synced data (account identifier and game/state data) is stored on our backend to provide cloud-save functionality.
- Retention: We keep this data until you request deletion or the account is removed. You can request deletion via the contact email above.
6. Recipients and Processors

- These service providers process data on our behalf to operate the online features. We do not sell or share your data for marketing.
7. International Transfers
- Depending on hosting regions, data may be processed outside your country. We use HTTPS to protect data in transit and apply appropriate safeguards with our providers.
8. Access Permissions
- The app does not request location, camera, microphone, contacts, or other sensitive permissions.
- The app uses the Internet permission solely to provide optional online features; the core game remains fully playable offline.
9. Data Subject Rights (applicable if you use online features)
- You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, and data portability under the GDPR.
