Music Box Supper Club: 12:00pm
St. Brigid’s Day, celebrated on February 1st, marks the beginning of spring in Ireland and is one of the four major Celtic festivals. It honors St. Brigid of Kildare, one of Ireland's patron saints, who was known for her generosity, wisdom, and miracles.
Brigid was born in the 5th century and became a revered abbess and founder of the famous monastery at Kildare. She was a symbol of compassion, healing, and the arts, particularly weaving, and she is often associated with fertility, agriculture, and the home.
St. Brigid’s Day is as much a musical celebration as it is a spiritual one, with Irish folk music and ancient hymns playing a central role in the day’s festivities. Brigid, as a saint associated with the land, healing, and the arts, is honored through musical performances that invoke both the sacred and the secular.
This year, our celebration will include a fundraiser for Laura's Home, helping to provide support for women and children in crisis. Traditional music performed by local musicians will bring the stories of St. Brigid to life, inspiring both celebration and compassion, as we come together to support those in need.
All proceeds from the event will go toward supporting Laura’s Home.
