Privacy Policy for Nemra app

Welcome to Nemra ("the App," "we," "us," or "our"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our mobile application.

Our core philosophy is "privacy-first." The App is designed to be a "zero-data collection" utility. It operates entirely on your device, and we do not have servers to collect, store, or process your personal data.

1. Information We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect, transmit, or store any Personally Identifiable Information (PII). This includes, but is not limited to:

• Your name

• Your email address

• Your location

• Your contacts list

• Your phone number (other than the numbers you temporarily type or paste into the app)

2. Information We Access and Process Locally

To provide its features, the App accesses and processes certain data only on your device. This data never leaves your device and is never sent to us or any third party.

2.1. Clipboard Access (Sensitive Permission)

This App includes a "Paste Number" (or "Clipboard Genius") feature that requires access to your device's clipboard. We want to be completely transparent about how this works:

• Explicit User Action: The App does not access your clipboard automatically or in the background. Clipboard access is only initiated when you, the user, explicitly tap the "Paste" icon within the App.

• Local Processing: When you tap "Paste," the content of your clipboard is read and processed locally on your device for the sole purpose of finding and extracting a potential phone number from the text.

• No Storage: The content from your clipboard is never stored by the App (unless you proceed to start a chat with the extracted number, which is then saved to your local Recents log) and is never transmitted off your device.

2.2. Local Data Storage (On-Device Only)

The App stores two types of data locally in its private storage on your device:

• Recents History: For your convenience, the App saves a log of the phone numbers you successfully start a chat with. This "Recents" list is stored only on your device and is not accessible by us or any other application. You have full control over this data and can delete it at any time from the App's "Settings" screen using the "Clear History" button.

• User Preferences: The App saves your chosen settings, such as your preferred Theme Mode (Light, Dark, or System) and Language. This information is stored locally to ensure the App remembers your choices the next time you open it.

3. Third-Party Services

The App's core function is to act as an interface to start a chat on WhatsApp (a service owned by Meta, Inc.).

When you use the App to start a chat, you are sending the phone number and optional message directly to the WhatsApp application. This Privacy Policy does not cover the data practices of WhatsApp. We are not affiliated with, associated with, or endorsed by WhatsApp or Meta, Inc. We recommend you review WhatsApp's own privacy policy for information on how they handle your data.

4. Children's Privacy

Our App is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and you believe that your child has used this app in a way that concerns you, please contact us.

5. Security

We value your trust. Since all data (including your Recents History and Preferences) is stored locally on your device, the security of that data is managed by the security features of your mobile operating system. By not collecting or transmitting your data, we inherently protect it from network-based breaches related to our App.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page within the App. You are advised to review this Policy periodically for any changes.
