Nemor is designed as a "Cognitive Relief Valve." We believe your thoughts should be private, ephemeral, and entirely under your control. We do not sell your data, we do not use tracking pixels, and we do not have "accounts" in the traditional sense.
Nemor handles data in two ways:
Local Data (Standard): Most of your use of Nemor is 100% local. Your lists, notes, and captures are stored only on your device. We have no access to this data.
Transit Data (Partner Bridge): If you use the optional Partner Bridge (Messaging), messages are sent through our private relay (relay.nemor.ai).
Protocol IDs: We use anonymous, 16-character Protocol IDs to route messages. We do not link these IDs to your name, email, or phone number.
Encrypted Payloads: Messages are obscured using client-side logic before they ever reach our server.
We believe in a "Clean Slate" policy:
Automatic Deletion: Messages on our relay server are automatically deleted within 48 hours of delivery, or a maximum of 96 hours if undelivered.
Operational Logs: Temporary server logs are purged every 4 hours.
User Control: You own your local data. Deleting the app or clearing the app cache permanently deletes your local records.
We use a Logic-7 Privacy Curtain to obscure messages.
Please Note: This is intended for casual privacy among trusted partners to prevent data from being easily indexed or read by casual observers. It is not military-grade or "end-to-end" encryption designed to thwart state-level actors.
We comply with valid legal subpoenas. In such cases, we may place a "Legal Hold" on a specific Protocol ID to prevent the automatic deletion of messages related to a legal case. We only preserve data for the specific IDs listed in a warrant.
Nemor does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. Since we do not use accounts or identity verification, we encourage parents to manage their children’s device usage.
